This technically sophisticated renovation called for taking existing hospital space and fabricating it into an advanced CLIA-certified clinical genetic testing lab for Boston Children's Hospital.
Work included renovations on two floors of the DNA Laboratory department and included cold storage, fume hoods, lab benches, a conference room, and a large mechanical room and energy recovery unit dedicated to the lab.
Wise employed BIM to integrate HVAC piping and duct work with MEP systems inside minimal ceiling space to ensure fit prior to fabrication. Doing this virtually allowed us to make multiple changes to the original MEP design that saved countless hours and minimized disruptions on the project site
