This 25,500 SF renovation of lab and office space needed to be completed in a little more than three months without upsetting the research or researchers located on the floor above. The key to accomplishing this was constant communication about schedule updates and providing the entire lab with two-week look-aheads, so they knew what to expect and plan for. We strictly honored a two-hour daily window (6AM – 8AM) for any loud hammering, drilling noises and coring holes into these adjacent areas to avoid disturbing highly sensitive equipment and research. Even with all these obstacles before us, the project met its tight schedule, the client moved in on time, and the project came in under budget.
