Wise Construction, the area’s most well-respected construction company, has recently expanded its team, adding members to both project management and estimating. Throughout our 35+ years of work within Greater-Boston, Wise knows our success is because of our people, and our mantra of creating an environment where expertise precedes expansion is what keeps our team Boston’s best.
“Providing our clients with regular access to project leaders is what sets us apart from the large firms,” said President John Wise. “Finding experienced talent to our team isn’t easy, but our latest group understands the personal stake we have in our clients that has helped us earn our reputation.”
Wise’s new members include Senior Estimator Jesse Craig, Superintendent Phil Dunn, Project Managers Monica Kuczynski and Jonathan McKenna, and Assistant Project Manager Brian Vatelle.
Senior Estimator Jesse Craig brings over eleven years of experience estimating a wide range of projects throughout multiple market sectors, allowing him to create bids with the most up to date and accurate pricing. As Senior Estimator, Jesse will work closely with Wise’s Director of Preconstruction, Jason Hartford on budget development and control, reconciliation, value engineering, scheduling, bidding and using choosing by advantages (CBA) for subcontractor selection.
Phil Dunn, Superintendent, brings over twenty-seven years of experience working in complex healthcare environments, including operating room expansions, ambulatory care facilities, and inpatient units. Combining his background in business and construction, Phil excels at managing the logistics of each project, his onsite team and hospital staff.
With over ten years of experience throughout the Longwood medical area, Project Manager Monica Kuczynski understands the requirements of complex, occupied space renovations, and uses lean practices to reduce project risk while increasing efficiencies. At Wise, Monica is continuing her work on Longwood with both Boston Children’s Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Having spent eight years at New England Labs, Project Manager Jonathan McKenna has worked with some of the area’s top biotech and research facilities, including Pfizer, Amgen, Celgene and Lab Central. With a passion for building and knowledge of complex logistics, Jonathan is working with Wise’s biotech team throughout Cambridge, and works to bring the latest technologies and delivery methods to every project, including design assist, immersive 3D scanning, virtual pull planning, and cloud-based project management.
Assistant Project Manager Brian Vatelle has over four years of experience in complex projects with fast-track schedules. As Assistant Project Manager, Brian will be working with Wise’s healthcare team on a range of responsibilities, including writing contracts and change orders, reviewing shop drawings and cost reports and providing input to the main project schedule from the projects start through completion.
