Oncorus, a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing next-generation viral immunotherapies to transform outcomes for cancer patients, has chosen Wise Construction to build their 55,000 SF manufacturing facility in Andover, Mass.
The facility will consist of laboratory, office and support space, a QA/QC area, and a 35,000 SF cGMP manufacturing and warehouse area complete with upgraded MEP and infrastructure systems. The team is running the project under a design assist approach, working with key subcontractors during the design phase for greater efficiency.
To meet all scheduling goals, the project is being run using lean processes, such as reviewing lessons learned on projects of similar size and scope. This includes Moderna’s manufacturing facility, which Wise, Hereva, and DPS collaborated on together in 2018. The phase one support space anticipated completion is July 2021, with phase two cGMP facility completion in the summer of 2022.
