Finch Therapeutics, a clinical-stage microbiome therapeutics company, has chosen Wise Construction to build-out its new 60,000 SF second headquarters in Charlestown, Mass. The state-of-the-art laboratory and office facility will be part of Boston’s newest mixed-use development, Hood Park, and will occupy the entire second floor of a newly constructed core/shell building. Wise’s team is thrilled to be a part of this build-out and to support Finch as it enters this next phase of growth and development.
The new facility will consist of a 50/50 split of office space and lab space to be used for R&D. The facility will include all new offices and amenities such as collaboration space, café and conference rooms.
To accomplish Finch’s fast-track schedule, Wise is working closely with MEP subcontractors and engineers, running the project under a design assist approach to solve engineering design challenges and improve efficiency. Wise will additionally utilize BIM and VDC scanning to map all existing building elements so an early and accurate model can be used to coordinate all systems to expedite the construction process. Construction is expected to start October 2021 and conclude early 2022.
