WISE CONSTRUCTION AWARDED NEW WORK AT BOSTON AREA EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS
Completing Projects for Bentley and Emerson Colleges; Museum of Fine Arts Boston

(Boston, MA – August 16, 2007) ~ Wise Construction Corporation was recently awarded contracts to complete the renovations at several prestigious Boston-area educational institutions, including Bentley and Emerson Colleges and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. These projects represent the commitment that Wise has to providing quality professional construction services that enhance Boston’s academic environment for learning.

At Emerson College, Wise Construction is performing renovations to the Walker Building, housing the college's library and journalism and marketing communication wing across from the Boston Commons. The project includes inprovements to several interactive areas for students and faculty at this busy downtown Boston campus including renovations to the library, café, administrative offices and counseling center. Working on a fast track over the summer months with Darlow Christ Architect, Wise is also providing upgrades to the building’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems to be in place when the fall semester begins.

For Bentley College, Wise is completing restorations to Lewis Hall, originally part of the 1793 Theodore Lyman estate and the oldest building on campus, currently home to the Alumni Relations, Development and Advancement Services Offices. Teaming with the College and R.E Dinneen, Architects & Planners, work on this historic structure involves the intricate replication of existing details to match original millwork, molding, and flooring as well as new HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems. The project is being performed while the building remains fully occupied and operational.

Continuing a 15-year relationship with the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Wise Construction is currently completing the conversion of the Art of the Ancient World curatorial gallery with Perkins + Will. This project will provide for additional administrative space and a new collection library for the museum.

“Our commitment to our clients in any institutional setting is a safe and efficient building experience,” explained John Wise, Company President. “The Wise team takes great pride in providing sensitive project delivery in continuous operating environments and constricted sites with minimal inconvenience to students, faculty, staff and the public.”
