WISE CONSTRUCTION TEAMS WITH HARVARD SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH
Completes Renovations at Multiple Locations with Janovsky / Hurley Architects

(Boston, MA – May 30, 2007) ~ Wise Construction Corporation has recently completed renovations at multiple locations in Boston for the Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH). The work includes upgrades to several laboratories; a new multi-media auditorium; and, the complete renovation of a two-story building on the corner of Longwood and Huntington Avenues.

According to Wise President John Wise, these projects represent the framework for an ongoing relationship that Wise has established with HSPH. Conversion of the former Sparrs Drug store at 635 Huntington to a new space for the School’s Admissions Office included structural and foundation work as well as ongoing interior finishes. Exterior renovations included new glass and aluminum entrances with an enhanced security system, a granite and stucco façade with standing seam roofing details and a glass art display on the street level.

Working with a design by Janovsky / Hurley Architects, Wise has also completed a nine-story atrium glazing at the School’s main campus and conversion of several floors into new office space.

Additional work was performed for the HSPH at its Department of Tropical Health location. This project included the construction of a new multi-media conference room featuring recessed projection, flat screen LCD panels, blackout shades and multi-zoned dimmable fixtures. Custom maple doors, panels, cabinets and shelving completed the interior finishes. A laboratory renovation was also performed.

The Wise team has also finished interior office renovations and conference facilities for the School’s Financial Aid Department on Huntington Avenue.

“Our commitment to our clients is safe, seamless and enjoyable building experience,” explained Wise. “The Wise team takes great pride in providing sensitive project delivery in continuous operating environments and constricted sites with minimal inconvenience to students, faculty and staff.”
