Executive Briefing Center

Wise Construction recently completed an Executive Briefing Center for a leading financial management group. The Center serves as an executive suite and innovation center for the company’s new location at One Main Street in Cambridge. The interior renovation project involved renovation of 15,000 square-feet of area into a dynamic, executive meeting space. The transformation required a flexible layout to accommodate collaborative work while also allowing space for private, individual work.

Innovative Design

The space includes a loft and concierge where visitors can check e-mail or make calls. Team pods are ideal for small groups, while three studios which can be merged into one, provide flexibility for varying meeting sizes.

Interprofessional Graduate School

This interprofessional graduate school prepares skilled healthcare specialists in communication sciences and disorders, medical imaging, physical therapy, and nursing. As a fast-growing resource for health education, the institute needed to expand into previously occupied space. Wise completed a 20,000 SF fit-out adding new physical therapy laboratories, an active learning classroom with advanced technology, and a collaborative learning classroom that enables students to work together on real or simulated case studies.

Interactive Learning Approach

State-of-the-art classrooms provide a small group experience where students share information. Monitors facilitate information sharing and labs are equipped with cameras that broadcast students work.

Melrose Wakefield Hospital

This project involved converting three existing Critical Care areas into new Cardiac and Endovascular Suites and upgrading all life safety systems. Heavy foot traffic in this part of the hospital proved challenging, and required careful phasing to keep all functions up and running at all times.

When you have a project situated at a major crossroads within a facility (as we did at Melrose Wakefield Hospital), you often have to get creative in scheduling work and fabricating structures that keep visitors to the area safe and business chugging along as usual.

Wise provided preconstruction and construction management services for a 50,000 SF renovation of existing lab and office space at this research facility utilized by many teaching hospitals in the Longwood Medical Area.

Turning scrap into research funds

Everyone at Wise felt so strongly about the research into childhood cancers being conducted at Dana-Farber that our crew sold scrap materials recycled during the project so we could present DFCI’s Jimmy Fund with a check for $7,200.
